Produced for Sky Arte, I am La Scala (Io sono la Scala) is one of six films dedicated to the Italian Season series, distributed in eight European countries and shot in three languages. Over the centuries, the coat of arms of the most important opera house in the world does nothing but grow and attract an increasing number of people. In this place, among the seats of the Milanese stalls or on the stages where the nobility and the greatest intellectuals of their time once sat, opera enthusiasts and not have always lived breathtaking experiences. All major artists and composers of the last three centuries have come and gone through the temple of classical music and opera, and only by doing so were they accredited to the highest ranks of the Olympus of music. The narrative voice of Laura Morante, and the testimonies of Patti Smith, Placido Domingo, Riccardo Chailly among others, lead the viewer through a journey that recalls all the main stages of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
